Positive Singles was born out of a simple yet powerful idea: everyone deserves love, regardless of their health status. Our journey began in 2001 when our founder, after being diagnosed with herpes, experienced firsthand the challenges of dating with an STD.
Frustrated by the stigma and lack of understanding in the general dating scene, he envisioned a platform where people with herpes and other STDs could find companionship, support, and love without fear of judgment or rejection.
From Concept to Community
What started as a small online forum quickly grew into a thriving community. By 2005, Positive Singles had become the largest dating site for people with herpes and other STDs, with members from across the globe.
Our growth wasn’t just in numbers. We continuously evolved our platform based on member feedback, introducing features like anonymous browsing, a resource center for STD information, and advanced matching algorithms to help our members find meaningful connections.
